About the partnership with Leadax
Leadax has waterproofed the Dutch Pavilion with its newest sustainable and circular product Leadax Roov, which is made of discarded PVB waste (polyvinyl butyral), a plastic foil that is used in laminated glass (e.g. car windows and safety glass).
Leadax Roov is the new and fifth standard in roofing products, next to EPDM, PVC, TPO and bitumen.
Furthermore, Leadax organizes various symposia during the World Expo for their international network at the pavilion. During these symposia, the subject “Circularity & Profitability in Construction” will be the main theme.
Expo 2020 Dubai is the perfect opportunity to show what kind of sustainable innovations the Netherlands have developed.
Leadax is proud to be part of this event and to be able to share its sustainable and circular waterproofing products with the world.
Disruptive
Leadax is the manufacturer of sustainable and circular waterproofing products. Its product range consists of several types of flashing (lead replacements) and flat roofing. All of the products are made of discarded PVB waste and are designed in such a way, that at the end of their lifecycle, they can be easily dismantled, recycled and used again as raw material for new products.
In short, Leadax is closing the loop. There are currently four types of materials to waterproof a flat roof: Leadax Roov will be the fifth standard. This is a true disruptive innovation.
The award-winning manufacturer (e.g. ING Circular Entrepreneur Award 2020, Netherlands Innovation Award 2019 & runner-up at the Global Innovations Awards 2021) aims to redefine the definition of ‘waste’ globally.
