From October 2021, the Netherlands will participate at the EXPO 2020 Dubai: the first World Exhibition in the Gulf region. For six months, our country will represent itself in this dynamic region under the motto ‘Uniting Water, Energy and Food’.

Participation in the EXPO offers Dutch companies and knowledge institutions many opportunities to strengthen their network with the UAE, the Gulf region and other participating countries. It also increases their business opportunities on this global stage.

The virtual EXPO talk is organised by VNO-NCW / MKB-Nederland and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During this talk you will be informed about how the Dutch participation is organised, the program during the EXPO, which activities and visits are on the agenda, and the latest developments in Dubai.

The virtual EXPO talk will be moderated by Ingrid Thijssen, President of VNO-NCW, with the participation of the three Dutch EXPO Champions:
> Manon Janssen (CEO Ecorys, also Chairman of the Top Sector Energy)
> Meiny Prins (CEO Priva)
> Ahmed Aboutaleb (Mayor of Rotterdam)

Hans Sandee, Consul General in Dubai (UAE) & Commissioner General for the EXPO Dubai2020, and André Driessen, Director International Business at the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will provide further information about the Dutch participation in the EXPO.

The virtual EXPO 2020 Dubai talk session takes place on Thursday, April 1, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time Amsterdam / 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time UAE and will be broadcasted LIVE from the Malietoren in The Hague.
